I read instructor Ruan Yifeng's Chinese webpage font Development Guide and made some records.

1: font-family Rules

Font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", "Microsoft YaHei", "", STXihei, "文 ", serif;

(1) Give priority to the front font.

(2) If the font cannot be found,Or the Font does not include the text to be rendered., Use the following font.

(3) If none of the listed fonts meet the requirements, the operating system determines which font to use.

 

According to these rules, the font-family should first specify the English font and then the Chinese font. Otherwise, the English letters in the Chinese font will replace the English font, which is often ugly.

To ensure compatibility, the Chinese and English names in the Chinese font should be written into the font-family.

In addition, the Chinese font name and the English name composed of multiple words should be placed in double quotation marks. (All are enclosed in double quotation marks)
