Mini DisplayPort is a miniature version of the DisplayPort. Published by Apple on October 14, 2008. It is now applied to the MacBook (replacing the previous mini-dvi), the MacBook Air (replacing the previous micro-dvi) with the MacBook Pro (instead of the previous DVI) notebook PC. Also applied to 24-inch LED cinema Display.

Like DisplayPort, the Mini DisplayPort the highest support for 2560x1600 image display.

Apple's Mini DisplayPort also supports VGA and DVI signal output, but requires converters.
