Windows 7 will enhance hardware performance from three aspects such as multithreading

Windows 7 is more than just a nice interface. Some of the changes in the system will allow chip makers such as Intel, Nvidia and AMD to improve Windows 7 performance over previous Microsoft operating systems.

Microsoft said July 22 that it has completed the Windows 7 code and will launch the new operating system on October 22. Improvements to this system include multitasking, graphics acceleration, and solid-state drives.

Microsoft is cooperating with Intel. Intel and Microsoft Alliance Manager Joakim Lialias in a July 22 blog about how Microsoft and Intel saw the opportunity to optimize Windows 7 for Intel processors in terms of performance, power management, and graphics.

Lialias's blog focuses on multitasking improvements based on "SMT Parking" technology. This technology provides additional support for Windows 7 Scheduler that supports Intel Hyper-Threading technology. With Hyper-Threading technology, the Windows 7 operating system can think of a single processor kernel as two cores. For example, a 4-core system would look like a 8-core system, so it might improve multitasking or be able to accomplish multiple tasks at the same time.

Lialias also mentions enhanced power-on and shutdown times. ' Our common goal is to provide the most responsive computing experience possible, ' he said.

Windows 7 is expected to surpass the previous operating system in terms of images, and Microsoft is likely to use DirectX 11 technology. In addition to gaming, Windows 7 can turn AMD or NVIDIA graphics processors into a general-purpose computing engine that speeds up day-to-day computing tasks such as processors.

Another improvement technique for Windows 7 is a solid-state drive. Solid-State hardware will be able to take advantage of a technology called "Trim Command" in Windows 7. Solid state hard drive looks like the hard drive is still full after deleting the block. The Trim Command technology frees up space for these blocks of data for reuse and maintains the performance of solid-state drives. Performance degradation occurs after each hard drive has been used for a period of time. Using this technology, solid-state drives will be like new for a long time.
