Windows Server 2003 was released in April 2003, and server-oriented features such as Active Directory, Group Policy operations and management, disk Management were improved, and the. NET technology improved to extend the scope of the server.
Windows Server 2003 has four versions: Windows Server 2003 Web server version (Web Edition), Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (Standard Edition), Windows serv ER 2003 Enterprise Edition (Enterprise Edition) and Windows Server 2003 Data Center Edition (Datacenter Edition). The Web Edition is designed primarily for Web server (web hosting), and Datacenter is used for very high-end systems. The standard and enterprise versions are somewhere in between.
Windows Server 2003 is currently Microsoft's newest server operating system.
Initially, the product was called "Windows. NET Server" and changed to "Windows. NET Server 2003", which was eventually changed to "Windows Server 2003", released on March 28, 2003, and was listed at the end of April of the same year.
