Windows Vista Local Area network sharing problem full introduction

Many users who use Windows Vista systems encounter compatibility issues with XP visits, such as Vista, where Windows XP users can be seen on a LAN, but Vista cannot be found in Windows XP, typically because the shared services are not turned on, system sharing is enabled, Windows firewall blocking, and so on.

Turn on My Computer-control panel and set network discovery and file sharing as enabled in the Network and Sharing Center dialog box, as shown in Figure 1

At the same time, click Windows Firewall in the lower-left corner of Figure 1, and in the Open Settings dialog box, select Allow programs to pass through Windows Firewall, as shown in Figure 2:
