If you mention Software Uninstall, you may not agree, because everyone will operate it! Three methods are usually used to uninstall the software: uninstall Program , Run "Add/delete programs" on Windows XP control panel, or use third-party software to uninstall. But what we want to discuss now is not such a simple uninstallation, but some alternative uninstallation.

I. unmount the fault recovery console

As we all know, Windows XP's "fault recovery console" can diagnose and recover the system, but it does not uninstall the program. If you want to uninstall it, you can do this:

Go to the "recovery cons" directory under the system partition, find the installation file of the "fault recovery console", and delete it. Then, select "Start> Settings> Control Panel> System ", in the "System Properties" dialog box, select the "advanced" tab and click "Settings" under "Start and recovery failures, in the pop-up "Start and recover fault" dialog box, click the "edit" button to delete the following statement in the pop-up window: "C: \ cmdcons \ bootsect. dat = "Microsoft Windows XP Recovery Console"/cmdcons.

Ii. Uninstall stubborn programs

When you uninstall software, we often encounter the following: Some programs are very stubborn, even if you use a variety of tricks, this is because the program is not completely installed, the program file is damaged, or the installation directory of the program has been deleted. For this reason, you can use msicu.exe0000msizap.exe in Windows XP to thoroughly uninstall the program.

First, open the Windows XP installation CD, install "Support Tools", and then enter the support tools installation directory (X: \ Program Files \ support tools.exe, find msicuuu.exe, and double-click, the "Windows Installer Clean Up" window is displayed, showing the list of all programs currently installed. After the command prompt, run the following command: msizap t {identification of stubborn program}. Press enter to uninstall the stubborn program.

3. Uninstall the residual program names in "add or delete programs"

Adding or removing programs in the control panel is a common method to uninstall software. However, after some software is uninstalled, its program name (such as voptxp V7.12) remains in "add or delete a program ), even if you click the "change/Delete" button, you can clear them as follows:

Select Start> Run. In the displayed run dialog box, enter the Regedit command to open the Registry Editor, first, click "Export Registry File" under the Registry "file" menu to back up the Registry. If a problem occurs after the registry is deleted, the original registry can be restored.

Next, locate the HKEY_LO-CAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall, locate the residual program name (such as voptxp V7.12), and delete it.

To completely uninstall the program, select the "Edit> Search" menu command in the registry, open the "Search" dialog box, and enter the name of the program to be uninstalled in "Search for target, find and delete the project related to the program, and then continue to use the "Find Next" command to find and delete all the projects of the program.

Tip: some files remain in the original directory after the software is uninstalled using the preceding method. In this case, you do not have to worry about deleting the installation directory directly.

Some friends like to upgrade drivers, but after the upgrade, they cannot be cleared with the built-in uninstall program, you can use the software driver cleaner (http://www.mydrivers.com/tools/dir11/d4675.htm) to uninstall the driver.

Next, go to the "system volume information" directory on the hard disk and open the folder starting with "_ restore". There are many subdirectories starting with RPX, which is a Restore Point. For RPX, X indicates the sequence number of the Restore point. The larger the sequence number, the newer the Restore point.
