Zabbix Alarm Media: Email

Alarm information will be sent using the system's own sendmail, the configuration is relatively simple

Configure Media Email

Administration→media Types->click on Create Media type

Create a new alarm medium:

Name: Refers to the name of the warning medium in the Zabbix

Type: Media type

Script name: The scripts name should match the script name on the system.

Use media

After we have defined the media, we need to assign the media to the user.

Administration->users-> Open User Configuration->media type inside add newly added media

Type: Select the media name

Send to: E-mail to WHO, for example [email protected], you can also use the display name

When active: Send time, email only within this time period

Use if severity: Trigger level for sending messages

Status: Current media status enabled-in use. Disabled-Disabled.
