The protocols that the monitoring tool relies on are: SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol, Easy Web Management Protocol)

SNMP operating mode:

NMS collects data from agent side

Agent-side push data to NMS

Send modification instruction to agent side when Discovery Agent side exception on NMS side

Components of SNMP:

MIB: Information Management Library

Smi:mib symbol for the expression

SNMP protocol

Operations that the NMS can initiate:

Get Get Data

GetNext getting multiple data

Set is used to initiate modification instructions to the agent side

Trap collects data from agent-side push

Components in the Zabbix schema:

Zabbix-server

Zabbix-agent

Zabbix-datebase:(Mysql,pgsql (PostgreSQL), Oracle,db2,sqlite)

Zabbix-web: Used to implement Zabbix settings and display, GUI

Zabbix-proxy: Dedicated components in a distributed monitoring environment (used when larger scale is monitored )

Common terms for Zabbix:

Host: The network device to be monitored, consisting of IP or DNS      host group Host group: A logical container for hosts, which can contain hosts and templates, but hosts and templates in a family cannot connect to each other The host group typically uses the      monitoring item when assigning monitoring permissions to a user or user group item: a specific monitoring indicator of the data from the monitored object; item is the core of Zabbix data collection ; relative to a monitoring object, each item is identified by key      trigger trigger: An expression that evaluates whether the data received within a particular item of a monitor object is in a reasonable range, that is, the   Thresholds      Events Event: A matter of concern, such as: Trigger status change, new agent or re-launch agent auto-registration      Action action: Refers to a pre-defined process for a particular event, by including actions (such as notifications) and conditions (when to perform actions)      alarm escalation escalation: Custom scenarios for sending alarms or performing remote commands      Media media: means of sending notifications, such as:email     notification notification: Information about an event sent to the user via the selected media      remote command remote command: Predefined commands that can be automatically executed when the monitored host is under a specific condition      Template templates: A set of preset entries that are used to quickly define a monitored host, typically containing item,trigger,graph,screen,application and low-level discovery rule ( Low-level discovery rules); templates can be connected directly to a single host      app application: A set of item collections     web scenes web  Scennario: One or more HTTP requests to detect Web site availability      Front-end Frontend :zabbix web interface
