Cat

Usage rights: All users

How to use: Cat [-ABEENSTTUV] [--help] [--version] FileName

-A:--show-all equals-vet

-B:--number-nonblank to non-null output line number

-E equals-ve

-E:--show-ends displays "$" at the end of each line

-N:--number All line numbers for the output

-T: equivalent to-VT

-T:--show-tabs to display the jump-check character as ^i

-U (ignored)

-V:--show-nonprinting uses ^ and M-references, except LFD and tab

--HELP Display this help message and exit

--version display version information and exit

Example:

Cat-n textfile1 > Textfile2 Add the Textfile1 file content and enter textfile2 This file cat-b textfile1 textfile2 >> textfile3 put T The contents of Extfile1 and Textfile2 are appended to the TEXTFILE3 after adding the line number (blank line not added).
