Safe Mode for Word 2007

You can also choose to start it in Safe mode when you start Word2007, for many reasons, including:

Word2007 encountered difficulties and was trying to diagnose problems;

You need to observe the default behavior of Word2007 to help others;

Word2007 add-ins need to be banned for any reason;

You are curious (my personal preference, ^_^)

To start Word2007 in Safe mode, press and hold the CTRL key (either left or right) when you start Word2007, until you see the dialog shown in Figure 1, click Yes to continue to start in safe mode.

After starting in safe mode, many Word options and Windows registry settings are disabled. The Word2007 add-in is also not loaded, and the user settings stored in Normal.dotm are not loaded. The idea is to prevent users and other custom content from interfering with the default behavior of Word2007. This is useful in a variety of situations, from diagnosing problems to writing books and articles about Word2007, without confusing your customizations with the normal built-in default settings for Word2007.
