Start MySQL under Mac command line

Start:

Sudo/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server start

Stop it:

Sudo/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server stop

It's still a bit trickier to simplify: add such a command to the ~/.bash_aliases:

Alias mysqlstart= ' sudo/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server start '
Alias mysqlstop= ' Sudo/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server stop '

If you do not have a. bash_aliases file, you can create one and add such a code at the end of the. bash_profile file:

If [-f ~/.bash_aliases]; Then
. ~/.bash_aliases
Fi
