Abstract
Quartus II is the most CPU-consuming component I have used, and is also the main cause of my recent release of Nb, while supercache II is the most recent component, does it accelerate Quartus II?
Introduction
Supercache II indicates that a physical cache is used. This kind of memory is frequently used in DOS, but after windows, I haven't heard of any well-known cache, mainly because Windows has built a cache, but this cache is mainly poor.AlgorithmIf the algorithm is good, the performance is very poor, which is also the main cause of the recent supercache II attack.
Supercache II v. s Quartus II
The slow us II frequency mainly consists of three parts:
1. Quartus II has been in for a long time.
2. the embedded time of the system on the FPGA builder is long.
3. Quartus II has been used for a long time.
Because I have 4 gb ram, I cut 1 GB to supercacheii for Management. The result of using the example is as follows:
1. the Quartus II loading time can be effectively accelerated. It is the first time that the us II is imported to the render manager. It is also clear that the loading speed is faster, thanks to the effectiveness of its read ahead algorithm, if you enable Quartus II for the second time, you do not need to wait for it. You can use the instant opening statement to describe it because Quartus II has already entered the supercache, windows has its own cache, and I feel that it is not so easy.
2. The input time of the system builder can be improved, especially when the system builder runs for the second time.
3. the Quartus II clock time period can be improved, but only the second interval can be accelerated. It can be seen that the program clock mainly matches the CPU speed.
Conclusion
Because Ram is getting cheaper, and Windows XP does not use a memory that exceeds 2 GB (unless you use VMware ), how to make good use of 2 gb ram as a dynamic route, use cache and ramdisk as two acceleration methods, this method uses the RAM memory speed, if the use of beautiful, this will greatly accelerate the overall speed.
