From Baidu downsizing to thinking about the Chinese Software Industry

I recently saw Baidu's major layoff on my blog. Today I saw related reports to find out that in China, it is not the first time that Baidu's downsizing operations are like this. I suddenly encountered a problem in my mind. What happened to the Chinese software industry?

In related reports, I often see a "profit". It seems that "profit" is a direct reason for their decision to make layoffs. I have no way to verify this, I don't want to go to the ticket either. I have no way to research it. From the perspective of a technician, I cannot obtain valid data to prove that they are "profitable". I don't want to research it, this is an obvious reason.

For CEOs of other companies, my company has more than one million worth of equipment than its employees. for a software company, employees are a bunch of computers, how much is the computer worth? Therefore, the value of employees should be much higher than that of other software enterprises. However, the reality is that employees are not respected and are arbitrarily slaughtered by enterprises.

Yes, the bosses of those software companies are very good. They have the right to slaughter anyone who wants to slaughter the money. But the law of development of things is fair. No matter who you are, they give the same care. What are the technical strengths of companies that do not respect employees? Even a brilliant person, will he contribute all his thoughts in such an environment? The frequent flow of personnel has resulted in the continuous development of the company's technical level, even after many years.

Let's look at how many of the core technologies in China's IT industry are in the hands of Chinese enterprises. I don't want to talk about anything else, even an example of USB dongle.ProgramIt seems that all of them are provided by foreigners. From database servers, to network servers, to network management protocols, to chip technology, Chinese IT enterprises have always played a role in processing. Take the very hot Chinese laptop sold in China, I once asked, the salesman enthusiastically told me that the display is Korean, the motherboard is intel .... Sweating.

Let's end with an old saying. If the Chinese software industry is about to rise (the Chinese software industry seems to be in the colonial age), we must be willing to invest in it. First, we should respect knowledge, start by respecting employees.
