Getting Started with Word animation tutorial 15: Setting a password for a document

We can set the Word document to open the password and modify the password, so that when you open or modify the document, will pop up a dialog box to provide a password, if you open the password error, you will not be able to open the document, if the password error, you can only browse the document and cannot be modified.

First, set open permission password

Execute "file" → "Save As ..." to open the Save As dialog box, click the Tools button, select "Security Options ..." in the menu, and in the Security dialog box, enter the password to open the document (you can also click the Advanced button, select an encryption type), click OK, and in the pop-up Confirm Password dialog box, enter the password again. Click the OK button to return to the Save As dialog box, and then click the Save button.

Second, set the password to modify permissions

Execute "file" → "Save As ..." to open the Save As dialog box, click the Tools button, select Security Options ... in the menu, and in the Security dialog box, enter the password to modify the document, click OK, and then enter the password again in the Confirm Password dialog box that pops up. Click the OK button to return to the Save As dialog box, and then click the Save button.

Tips:

1. In addition to the above methods, in the "tools →" option ... → "security" tab, you can also set the document open and modify permission password.

2. In addition, in Word 2003, you can also set protection document password, you can protect the contents of the document is not modified, will give you a detailed introduction.
