First, insert special characters
1. Place the insertion point where you want to insert the symbol.
2. Perform insert → symbol, open the Symbol dialog box, and switch to the special Characters tab. There are special symbols listed in the character list box, such as long dashes, dashes, copyright characters, registers, and so on.
3. Select a character to use (as an example of the "copyright" character) and click the Insert button to insert it into the document. You can use this shortcut key to insert a character in a document if it should be followed by a shortcut key.
4. Click the Close button to close the dialog box.
Second, insert Symbol
1. Place the insertion point where you want to insert the symbol.
2. Perform insert → symbol to open the Symbols tab of the Symbol dialog box. Various fonts and other symbolic fonts for Chinese characters are provided in the Font Drop-down list.
3. Select a font (for example, Wingdings). If the font has multiple subsets, you can also select a subcategory.
4. Click to select the symbol you want to insert (as an example of a phone symbol), click the Insert button, and insert the symbol in the document.
5. Click the Close button to close the dialog box.
Tips:
The following features are also available in the Symbols dialog box.
1. When you select a symbol, click the AutoCorrect ... button to open the AutoCorrect dialog box, which allows you to set the AutoCorrect entry for the symbol. For automatic corrections, you will be introduced later.
2. Select a commonly used symbol, click the "shortcut key ..." button, open the Customize Keyboard dialog box, you can set a set of shortcut keys, you can use the shortcut keys to enter the symbol. Note: Some symbols have been preset with shortcut keys, and the shortcut keys will appear below the Symbol tab.
3. To enter a Unicode character, type the hexadecimal Unicode character code first, and then press alt+x; To enter the ANSI character, you can press the ALT key while pressing the corresponding decimal character code on the numeric keypad.
4. In the Symbols tab, there is a "recently used symbol" bar, which you can select directly if you want to use the most recently used symbol.
