Git email Configuration

1. Create a soft link under the hooks directory under the GIT repository on the server:

Post-receive->/usr/share/doc/Git-core/contrib/hooks/post-receive-Email

You can write a script to send emails.

2. Set git global configuration on the server

Git config -- Global hooks. mailinglistReceiver1@receivers.com, receiver2@receivers.com [set the list of received messages]

 

Git config -- Global hooks. emailprefix [git] set the mail title prefix string

3. install and configure msmtp and create the following soft link:

/Usr/sbin/sendmail->/usr/bin/msmtp
