NFS is a common file sharing tool for Linux.
The installation and use methods are described below.
CentOS 5.5
Yum-y Install setup-* initscripts-* nfs-utils-* portmap-* quota-* chkconfig NFS on Chkconfig portmap on service NFS R Estart Service Portmap Restart
CentOS 6.3
Yum-y Install nfs-utils Rpcbind chkconfig NFS on chkconfig rpcbind on service rpcbind Restart service NFS Restart
Share Files
Take the shared/var/ftp and/nfs catalogs as an example:
Edit/etc/exports File
/var/ftp 192.168.16.0/255.255.255.0 (Rw,no_root_squash)/nfs 192.168.16.0/255.255.255.0 (Ro,sync)
Mount shares
Take the NFS share/nfs on the Mount 192.168.16.170 to the local/var/www/html for example:
Edit the/etc/fstab file and add the following line to the end.
192.168.16.170:/nfs/var/www/html NFS Defaults 0 0
Then execute the following command to Mount
Mount-a
You can view the Mount status with the following command
Df-ht
