The unclear (especially Chinese) font in TD8.0 seems to be 8 pounds, and it's clear to change to 9 pounds. But TD8.0 does not provide a font-changing feature. Under the guidance of high man, I found and modified the font settings.
When you connect to the TD8.0 server for the first time, some files are downloaded, including the files that control the font. The downloaded file controls the TD8.0 font.
This file on the client is the Tdclientui80.ocx that is located in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\mercury interactive\td2000_80. To modify the font settings in it, you need to unpack the file and then modify the settings, and then compress them again.
1, unlock the file--use stripper (can download)
========================
This OCX file must be unlocked in order to edit, the uncompressed file becomes very large.
2, modify the file--the use of PE Explorer (can be downloaded)
==========================
Use PE Explorer to open this OCX file, find RC data. The next step is to figure out what's going on in the data.
In the RC data, the font is not fontsize but fontheight,8 the corresponding value of the pound word is -11,9 points corresponding to 12. So you can search for "-11" in the RC data, confirm that the font size that needs to be modified will change to 11 to 12, which can reduce the time of looking up.
3, re-compress-use Aspack (can download)
========================
After modifying the RC data (that is, fontheight from-11 to 12, if you need to change the font can be, but be careful not to lose the wrong font name, the need to Chinese title can also, but more careful, to compress this OCX file can be reused, compressed after OCX and restored the original size.
These are the methods for modifying OCX files on the client.
Modified OCX files can also be placed on the server, the following methods:
Directory of the server (TD8.0 host) C:\Inetpub\TDBIN\ Install has a file named Tdclientui80.xco, I guess this file is downloaded to the client after the suffix is changed to. ocx, so I have modified the Tdclientui80.ocx file changed the suffix, covering the file on this server.
Logically speaking now on the client login TD8.0 should automatically update OCX files, but some clients are not so, I do not know the truth. However, after I deleted the Tdclientui80.ocx on the client, I downloaded the new file automatically, and the font was changed.
