Tutorial 2.1 Create Text Frame for input text

The work of entering text in GoLive 5 is similar to manipulating a common word processor, such as Mircosoft Word. You can enter text directly in the document window (that is, layout view) or copy and paste text from another application, and you can apply a variety of text formatting and spelling, search text, and so on, text can be directly entered in the text Frame, table cell (table cells), Floating box. When you use a layout grid, you can easily rearrange the position of the text, because you can select the text box to drag the text to any one place, and rearrange the paragraph text.

When you start designing a Web page, you usually first make the title text, which requires you to use Layout text box to create the text Frame, follow these steps.

Step one, select the Reset palattes (reset panel) command from the window pull-down menu, see Figure 2-1.

The purpose of this step is to allow golive 5 to reset various windows so that the object panel is displayed in front of each panel, so that you can see it at a glance on the screen, see Figure 2-2. By the way, if you want to see the contents of the right part of the layout view, you can use the Drag method to move the panels elsewhere, or close all the panels, but this is the most unwise way, GoLive 5 does not advocate doing so, but provides the hide palettes in window windows ( Hidden panel command, lets you quickly hide all the panels. Later, complete the related operation to perform the Reset Palattes command again, you can continue to choose to use the various panels.

The object panel contains a number of tool icons for creating HTML tags, constructing page elements, and general purpose objects in the site. If the mouse pointer rests on an icon, look at its name in the lower-left corner of the panel, as shown in Figure 2-2.

In step two, locate the layout grid icon in the Basic tab of the Object panel and drag it to the Web page that you are currently designing, as shown in Figure 2.

Step three, locate the Layout Text box icon in the Basic tab of the Object panel, and then drag it to the grid that you created earlier, as shown in Figure 2-4.

Once this is done, the Layout grid and the text frame are created, as shown in Figure 2-5. At this point, you can drag the control handles of the two objects to modify their size and position as you would with Dreamweave 3, but this chapter will do the following.
