NetEase Science and technology news August 13, according to foreign media reports, although Google announced this weekend will reduce the weight of copyright infringement sites, but the company also said that YouTube, Facebook and other large sites will not fall in search rankings.

A Google spokeswoman said in a media interview that the introduction of a new anti-piracy policy said the company was using more factors to determine the ranking of search results, and decided to rank more than 200 indicators.

This means that Google's piracy penalty will not affect the large, user-generated content of the site. Such sites include YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Amazon, and so on.

Google said the company did not find the site ranked lower when it tested the new algorithm in-house. The purpose of the new algorithm is to provide more useful results. The so-called "more useful"-Google said in the statement-refers to "users can more easily find legitimate, source of reliable content." ”

At the beginning of the new ranking algorithm, some people in the industry inferred that Google's own products, such as YouTube, were not included in the adjustment. There is even concern that YouTube has its own independent copyright content management approach, so its rankings will not be affected.

Google then said it would treat YouTube indiscriminately, which would not want popular sites with large numbers of user-generated content to be demoted.

Now you can see why Google's stance: There are many factors that determine the weight of search rankings, and no matter what kind of content deletion requests from websites like YouTube, they are not enough to affect their total score. Other sites are less affected by the new algorithm because they do not have enough "positive" scores to counteract the impact of the "negative" score.

As for whether or not to treat YouTube as a legal mercy, Google is in fact more stringent on the video site, because the new algorithm will consider YouTube's own internal mechanism, as well as web search two aspects.

A Google spokeswoman said YouTube had adopted a higher standard because Google could not control the removal process of other sites. Abinadab
