In the ordinary course of work, we often encounter the need to insert a page number in the Word document problem, in particular, even difficult to achieve. In this case, you might want to help by using a domain code:
First, insert the basic page number
For example, a document, currently set to two columns per page, is now required to insert the corresponding page number below each column, that is, the original first page is set to 1, 2 pages, the second page is set to 3, 4 pages, and so on. Simple analysis, in fact, the left column page number can be the formula "current page number x2-1", the right column page number can be the formula "current page number X2" Get, here in Word 2007 as an example to explain, the specific steps are as follows:
1th Step: Switch to the page Number Layout tab, execute "columns → two columns" command, split the current document into two columns, as for other requirements can temporarily take the default settings, the effect is shown in Figure 1.

Step 2nd: Switch to the Insert tab page, select Blank in the Footer Drop-down menu, and then draw two text boxes separately where you want to add page numbers, and the text box on the right column can be copied, as shown in Figure 2.

Second, insert the field code
Step 3rd: Position the cursor in the text box, and note that this time you are still switching to the Insert tab. Select field in the document part Drop-down menu, and the dialog shown in Figure 3 will pop up, select equation and formula in the Category Drop-down list box, and select = (Formula) in the Domain Name list box. Remember to remove the "keep original formatting when updating" checkbox in the lower-right corner.
