Rules that are created

In fact, the creation of a material library, should be combined with their own experience.

I worked on it a few years ago and produced a library of materials that was required:

This material library should be easy to sync (multiple computer work problems)

Easy to manage

Easy input

Easy to find

Allow temporary confusion but regularly be sorted

Set up the directory structure of the material library, of course, to meet some means to use it.

Under My Computer (multiple computers), as long as it is a Mac, you can easily use the "Material library".

Of course, Windows can also, just a little bit of trouble.

Use rules:

All the input inspiration files are entered into the "_" archive folder. "

All input material files, the first temporary "download" (OS) file, after the decompression, pick the available files (such as discard those MD, Readme, URL and other useless files, multiple AI and PSD files, select the most appropriate file type)

Weekly or monthly "_ to be sorted" migrate to the corresponding classification directory; "

Inspiration for adding tools

The inspirational JPG and PNG files do not necessarily have rich file information such as PSD files.

So I purposely wrote a gadget to apply to enhance the file information for these files.

This tool works in this way:

Use of projects and materials

To speed up our work, we should use the appropriate OS features to speed up our work.

Although the material storehouse is very big, however, the commonly used document, should be easy to visit.

Accelerated access based on TAG

Here I am using the Finder's Tag feature to satisfy this situation.

My main use is "_mini icon", "psds", "picture" these binders.

Searching for faster searching based on search

Because of a MAC feature, you can retrieve the internal PSD file information, so good psd file can be searched out oh.

PSD files have a lot of information:
