Harmonious coexistence between RHEL6.5 and Win7 (speculative version), rhel6.5win7
Background:
When Windows XP exists, RHEL6.5 is installed and Grub of the installer is used. After XP is deleted and Windows 7 is reinstalled, Grub of RHEL is overwritten and RHEL cannot be started, so add the guidance of RHEL ......
Steps:
It is convenient to use Grub/grldr, but BCD is used by default in Win7 without boot. ini, so I thought of adding a cabbage PE in the hard drive (Win7 system partition) (the Common Cabbage tool has this function:Install Chinese cabbage PE locally); (Of course, it may be possible to install other PE versions or not, but I have not tried to copy the boot. ini file directly for use, to be tested)
In this way, the Windows 7 system partition will be available.Boot. ini:
[boot loader]timeout=4 [operating systems]C:\AVLDR="Start WindowsPE System"
Find Grub4Dos or the updated Grub tool.GrldrAndGrldr. mbrAnd copy it to the root directory of the Win7 system partition,
InBoot. iniAdd:
C:\grldr.mbr="Start Linux System"
At the same time, under the root directory of the Win7 system partitionCreate menu. lst(This is the RHEL menu)
default=0timeout=5title Red Hat Enterprise Linux (2.6.32-431.el6.i686) root (hd0,1) kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.32-431.el6.i686 ro root=/dev/mapper/vg_rhel6p5-lv_root rd_NO_LUKS rd_LVM_LV=vg_rhel6p5/lv_swap rd_NO_MD crashkernel=auto LANG=zh_CN.UTF-8 rd_LVM_LV=vg_rhel6p5/lv_root KEYBOARDTYPE=pc KEYTABLE=us rd_NO_DM rhgb quiet initrd /initramfs-2.6.32-431.el6.i686.imgtitle Return to Main Menu chainloader (hd0,0)+1 boottitle Restart System reboottitle ShutDown Your Computer halt
Of course, the menu here. lst can not only guide RHEL, but you can also consider adding it if you have other Linux systems, but remember to set the partition location (hd0, 1) (this should be done with caution based on the actual partition situation)
After the restart, we can see that the original Win7 menu has an additional "Start Linux System", and then we can see the RHEL menu settings ......
Is rhel65 the last version of rhel6?
Not necessarily. Generally, after each hardware upgrade, Red Hat will produce a new version, update some hardware drivers, and then slightly update some programs.
