This article aims to help Task Center users quickly migrate data to Job Manager. It instructs you how to use Job Manager to execute the same management tasks provided in the Task Center tool. This document compares the differences between Job Manager and Task Center, and describes how to create, debug, run, and browse a Job. How to import tasks from Task Center to Job Manager, and incompatible tasks and scheduling of Job Manager.

IBM Data Studio contains three independent functional components: the complete Data Studio client, the Data Studio management client, and the Data Studio web Console (DSWC) DSWC are independent web applications, it can also be integrated with Data Studio. DSWC provides the right health monitoring tools and job creation and management tools. Job Manager is a Job management tool provided by DSWC to replace the Task Center.

Job Manager was first released in October 2011 and included in DSWC 3.1. DSWC 3.1.1 was launched in April 2012. Job Manager has some enhancements and new functions for importing tasks from the Task Center.

To use Job Manager, you must install DSWC. Unlike the Task Center, after DSWC is installed, users can access it on any machine through a browser, not just on the machine where DSWC is installed.
