Hide the hard drive partition.

The hard disk that is installed in the computer is often the object that others peep at, if you leave without shutting down the machine, the secret on the hard disk may leak. Although there are many encryption software can encrypt the hard disk, but in some special circumstances can not use them, and as long as the existence of a hard disk can not stop others curiosity, the problem is often cracked. The best way is to start from the source, the hard disk partition hidden, invisible, others will think that without this partition, it will not produce the idea of cracking.

In fact, the hidden hard disk partitions do not need to rely on those encryption software, and do not require sophisticated methods of operation, as long as the Windows system to modify the registry can be.

Click Start, enter regedit in the run bar to open Registry Editor, and then open the Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionpoliciesexplorer project, Right-click in the right window to select new binary value (Figure 1), named "NoDrives".

Then double-click NoDrives, enter the edit binary, you can enter 8 digits (Figure 2), the 1th byte represents a~h 8 letter, the 2nd byte represents i~p 8 letter, the 3rd byte represents q~x 8 letter, the 4th byte represents y~z 8 disk characters.

To hide a disk, set to: 01000000;

To hide B disk, set to: 02000000;

To hide the C disk, set to: 04000000;

To hide D disk, set to: 08000000;

To hide e disk, set to: 16000000;

To hide I disk, set to: 00010000;

To hide the J disk, set to: 00020000;

To hide the K disk, set to: 00040000.

If you want to unhide the letter, set to 00000000, which means that no hard disk partitions and storage devices are hidden. After you have modified the registry, remember to restart the computer.
