How to cancel power-off on a computer

How can I delete the power-based shutdown function?

Answer:

To avoid this problem by modifying the BIOS settings, go to the "Power Management Setup" option in the BIOS settings to see if there is a subitem "Soft-Off by Power Button". If yes, change its value to "Delay-4Sec. After you restart your computer, press the Power button in the Power box and you will find that the shutdown function is the same as the shutdown function in the Start Menu.

If the BIOS settings do not contain the Soft-Off by Power Button option, you can right-click it on the Windows XP desktop, select "Properties> Screen Saver> Power> advanced" to set the status of pressing the Power key.
