How to clean up the MySQL log?

Source: Internet
Author: User

First we can use the following command to clean up the MySQL log:

Rm-f/usr/local/mysql/var/mysql-bin.*

Then restart your own VPS, if it is LNMP use:

/ROOT/LNMP restart

This allows us to remove unwanted junk log files, and then if we need to disable the generation of these log files, we can pass the following command.

Via SSH, then log in to root to find the/etc/my.cnf file

Log-bin=mysql-bin

Binlog_format=mixed

Remove the "#" character in front of the two lines above. This will not generate the MySQL log file.
