Internet Explorer enhanced security configuration is enabled for Windows Server 2008 by default. This function is used to improve server security. Please enable or disable it as needed. The following message is displayed when IE is enabled:
Internet Explorer enhanced security configuration enabled
Internet Explorer's enhanced security configuration is currently enabled on the server. It configures many security settings that define how users browse the Internet and Intranet websites. This setting also reduces the possibility of your server being exposed to websites that may pose security risks. For a complete list of security settings in this configuration, see the enhanced security configurations of Internet Explorer.
The following method is used to disable the function. To enable the function, perform the following operations:
1. Go to "Server Manager"
Click the Start menu, select administrative tools, and find the server manager"
2. Configure "ie esc"
As shown in the figure.
3. Disable "enhanced security configuration"
As shown in the figure, select "disabled" for the "administrator" and "user" groups, and click OK to save. Open IE again. If the message "Internet Explorer enhanced security configuration disabled" is displayed, it indicates it has been disabled.
