How to display the row number in the file opened by vi

Source: Internet
Author: User

Note: Now there is basically no VI, and the VI in the system is usually connected to VIM

Method 1: temporarily display the row number. If it is closed, it will not be displayed again.

In command mode of VI, enter ": Set nu"

If you cancel the input: Set Nonu

Method 2: Modify the VI configuration file and display the row number permanently.

Enter VI ~ in the command line ~ /. Vimrc

After opening the file (which is actually a null file), add "set nu" in any row, save and exit.

In this way, the row number will be displayed when it is opened later.
