How to find quickly in a WPS table

Source: Internet
Author: User

Usually, users will often be in the WPS table for data lookup, such as the surname "Li" person, the 1 end of the product code or contains 66 telephone number, etc., the current WPS table provides a fuzzy search and accurate search for the two ways for users to use, The following is a brief introduction to the Find-and-replace functionality of the WPS table.

Fuzzy Lookup

"Fuzzy Lookup" here means that the user uses wildcard characters to find--that is, support "*" and "?" Find the number.

In the WPS table, the system provides two available wildcard characters that can be used for Fuzzy Lookup, respectively (question mark) and * (asterisk). Where:? You can replace any single character in the search target, * can replace any number of consecutive characters.

Instance One

(as shown in Figure 1), A is listed as a series of test data and the user wants to find all the cells that contain the table, and you can use the following methods to find them.

Click the menu Edit | Find menu item, select the Find tab in the Find and Replace dialog box, and enter the text box for the Find content: Table

The system will look up the two cells in the WPS Table component, table group.

It can be found that in the WPS table, a common lookup, the system is actually in the way to find.

Example Two

(as shown in Figure 2), the user would like to find "WPS", "End of the group" data, the "WPS Text components, WPS table components, WPS demonstration components, WPS Public Group" to find out, you can use the following methods to find.

In the Find Content text box enter: Wps* group, to find it.

The previous method describes how to find common characters, but if you want to find the "*", "?" and "~" number, what should be done?

Example Three

(Figure 3) shows a common 99 multiplication table, where the following formula can be positioned to a cell with "*".

In the Find Content text box enter: 3~**, to find it.

In the WPS table, if the content you want to find contains the? and *, then you need to precede it with the "~" sign to find it properly, in the lookup expression above: ~* to find the "*" character itself, and the next "*" number is the wildcard character.

Note: Wildcard characters are used in addition to the lookup, in the filter, in the function, and the rules are exactly the same.

Exact lookup

In general, the WPS table blurs the cells, but at some point the user wants to find a cell that satisfies a certain condition, called exact lookup. The WPS table has taken this requirement into account and provides a "cell matching" feature for users in the options for finding the dialog box.

Example Four

(as shown in Figure 4), the following table shows a list of sales for a company's products, and this method allows the user to empty all cells that are 0 values.

Press the key combination to open the Find and Replace dialog box, select the Replace tab, click the Options (T) button in the lower-right corner, and in the expanded options, tick the check box for cell matching.

In the Find what text box enter: 0, "Replace with" text box does not enter any characters, click the "Replace All" button, all the cells for the "0" value of the cell complete one-time replacement.

Note: The key technique of this example is "Check" "checkbox", the WPS table can achieve accurate lookup, otherwise, the system will be the "blue" cell in the above 0 values all clear.

Similarly, in Example 2, if a user wants to look for a cell that only ends with the group, you must also select the check box option for cell matching, and then look for the "* group".

Summary:

1, by default, the WPS table Lookup function, is the "include" way to find.

2, WPS form support using wildcard characters: "*" number, "?" and the "~" Number of the search. If you need to find the above three special characters, you must precede the character with the "~" sign to find it properly, such as ~* to find the "*" number.

3, if the user wants to implement the "exact find" in the WPS table, you must check the "matching cells" checkbox in the Find dialog box "options" to find or replace it correctly.

Available for WPS Office 2005 and above
