How to whiten teeth with Photoshop

Most people don't have perfect white teeth, and teeth sometimes become the focus of attention in photographs. This tutorial will teach you how to make your teeth white.

1. Open the picture you want to edit. This tutorial selects a picture with a defect in the tooth. (Figure 01)

2. Copy background layer (shortcut key ctrl+j). (Figure 02)

3. Use the Hue/Saturation tool to adjust the yellow saturation (shortcut key ctrl+u). Select a saturation value of-100. Click the "OK" button. (Figure 03)

4. Click the "Create a new Snapshot" button at the bottom of the history panel to create a new history snapshot. (Figure 04)

5. Change the layer blending mode of layer 1 to "difference value". (Figure 05)

6. Merge layer (shortcut key ctrl+e), all Select Canvas (shortcut key CTRL + a), copy to clip Board (shortcut key CTRL + C). Then select "Snapshot 1" in the history panel. (Figure 06)

7. Click the "Add Layer Mask" button at the bottom of the layers panel. Set the layer blending mode to "normal". (Figure 07)

8. In the channel panel, display "Layer 1 mask" to hide the "RGB" channel. Select Layer 1 mask and paste (Ctrl + V). (Figure 08)

9. In the Color Order window (shortcut key ctrl+l), drag the White input slider to the edge of the first pixel peak on the left. Click the "OK" button. (Figure 09)

10. In the Layer 1 mask channel, paint the lip around the black. Then set the RGB channel back to visible and hide the Layer 1 mask channel. (Figure 10,11)

11. Select "Layer 1" in the Layers panel. Click the "Edit in Standard mode" button above the floating Tool panel screen mode to make sure you are in standard mode. Adjusts the hue/saturation of the entire graph of Layer 1 (shortcut key ctrl+u). Set the saturation to-100 and adjust the brightness. Make sure that the Preview check box is selected and that the teeth are not brighter than the eyes. (Figure 12)

12. The man's teeth are now naturally white, and it does not look like digital editing. (Figure 13)

Simply using the Lasso tool to select the teeth, fading and adjusting the brightness of the teeth is not appropriate, it will cause the teeth (lightness) over exposure. By creating a layer mask, you can not only more accurately locate the dirty area you want to edit (this example refers to the yellow area of the tooth), but it keeps the original image as a background layer, making it possible to adjust the teeth repeatedly.
