How to view the Chrome browser cache

Google Chrome is now the best performance, for HTML5/CSS3 and other web technology to support the best browser, so I browsed the site, habitually always use chrome.

Recently, I often use chrome to browse foreign instructional video websites. Sometimes after watching good video, always want to find it from the browser cache to save, for teaching reference. IE and Firefox are easy to do. I didn't expect to have a bit of a brain under chrome.

Although Chrome provides a command Chrome://cache, you can view the reserved cache as shown in Figure 1 below.

Unfortunately, when you click on the cached file, Chrome does not open the cache source file, but rather the binary encoded file as shown in Figure 2.

It's obviously not what I want. So, I'm going to go down to the Chrome cache directory and have a look.

In the Windows 7 operating system, the Chrome cache directory is c:\users\{username}\appdata\local\google\chrome\user data\default\cache. Open Cache directory Look, get, see nothing, as shown in Figure 3.

What can be done about it.

Google a bit, fortunately, there is a Chrome cache view tool to download the green installation files and the Chinese Language pack (btw,nirsoft.net there are many gadgets oh). Of course, if you only need to download the cached video, there is a more powerful tool for the cache view,ie/ff/chrome to kill. This chrome cache view is good enough to see a lot of cached parameters that can be used to analyze and debug Web pages, as shown in Figure 4.

OK, feel free to look at the video with Chrome. When you encounter a collectible value, save it with a chrome cache view or a video cache view. When you analyze page performance, you can also use the chrome cache view to see the browser cache settings.
