How to insert a video file in PowerPoint slides

In PowerPoint, movies include video and animation, and in PowerPoint 2010 you can insert dozens of formats of video, and media players will vary depending on the format of the video.

Step 1: Press the "ctrl+0" key combination to open a presentation, as shown in the following illustration.

Step 2: Switch to the Insert Panel, click the Video Drop-down button in the Media palette, and select the video from File option in the pop-up list, as shown in the following illustration.

Step 3: Eject the Insert Video File dialog box, where you can select the video file you want, as shown in the following figure.

Step 4: Click the Insert button to insert it into the slide, adjust its size and position appropriately, as shown in the following illustration.

Step 5: Click the play button at the bottom of the video to play the inserted video and preview its effect as shown in the following illustration.
