1. Expand the installation package. OOo_2.2.1_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_zh-cn.tar.gz
# Tar zxvf OOo_2.2.1_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_zh-cn.tar.gz
Source: search the Internet to download the latest version, or download the OOo_2.2.1_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_zh-cn.tar.gz directly from this CD
2. Install the Java-runtime support package. Jre-6-linux-i586.rpm
# Cd OOFOOF680_m18_native_packed-1_zh-CN.9161/RPMS
# Rpm-ivh jre-6-linux-i586.rpm
Note: you can install jre-runtime before this process.
3. Install all OpenOffice Components
# Rpm-ivh openoffice *. rpm
Note: Do not install a single software package. Otherwise, it will surely fall into an endless loop.
4. Install the OpenOffice desktop console desktop-integration
# Cd desktop-integration
# Rpm-ivh openoffice.org-redhat-menus-2.2-9153.noarch.rpm
Note: When installing the Desktop configuration environment, you should select a proper configuration package based on your system.
For example: My system is RHEL/5, so the software package I selected is openoffice.org-redhat-menus-2.2-9153.noarch.rpm.
