How to install PuTTY remote tool in windows

PuTTY is one of the most common SSH clients used to connect to a Linux server in a Windows environment. Here we will introduce how to install PuTTY.

Download PuTTY

First Download PuTTY installation. The download address is as follows.

1) click Download 」.

2) Download "putty-0.65-installer.exe" under binaries.pdf 」.

Puttyis composed of multiple programs. You can download different programs, but download the "putty-0.65-installer.exe" installation program here.

Save the installation package to any folder and download it.

Install PuTTY

1) double-click the downloaded PuTTY installation package, and click "Next 」

2) specify the installation folder, use the default here, and click "Next 」.

3) specifies the program group name displayed in the Windows menu. Use the default value here. If you want to change the name of the input Group, click "Next 」.

4) here, select whether to create a shortcut key on the desktop, set the quick start, and link the file suffix (PPK. Click "Next" by default 」.

5) after confirming the installation content, click "Install 」.

6) PuTTY is successfully installed.
