Today's virus transmission speed is so fast that it relies largely on convenient Email transmission. Many people have similar experiences. The mailbox often receives spam mails. From time to time, some antivirus software may check emails with viruses. What's more puzzling is that, some emails are sent by yourself! What exactly is this? Apparently someone uses your e-mail address to spread the mail virus! Because your e-mail address has been leaked inadvertently. When surfing the Internet, appropriate protection of the e-mail address is also an important line of defense against viruses.
Encrypted email address
When posting comments on the Forum, many netizens leave their e-mail addresses without thinking about them, but the problem comes along. Nowadays, many email marketing tools provide the automatic email address collection function, which can search for email addresses online like spider. The question is, how can we avoid being collected by automated software while leaving E-mail? The method is actually very simple, that is, to encrypt your email address and turn it into code that only the browser can understand.
The tool to be provided here is "E_Cloaker", where "E-mail Address" is used to enter the email Address, and "Alternate Text" is the displayed Text corresponding to the Address on the webpage (note: please set it to English. In my experiment, it will be garbled in IE 6 when it is set to Chinese.) After setting it, click [Make Code] to generate the encryption Code. Finally, click [Copy Code] to Copy the encryption Code. When necessary, paste it to the appropriate location on the webpage.
After the email address is encrypted, the E-mail address you can view in the source code of the webpage is a bunch of unidentifiable codes, but it can be normally displayed in the browser, it does not affect your communication with others.

Show emails in plain text
To collect more email addresses, spam senders sometimes take the principle of "killing one thousand by mistake rather than letting them go". They automatically generate email addresses, then add a verification code in the sent email. When the recipient opens the email, the verification program will quietly report to the "master" in the background: "This address is valid! ". How can we prevent such emails?
Grasp the key to the problem. We know that these emails are generally in HTML format. When you encounter suspicious emails, try to view them in plain text. Foxmail and OE are the most widely used email sending and receiving software in China.
Foxmail
In the "attributes" dialog box of the Account, select "font and display" on the left. The "use embedded IE to browse HTML mail" option is not checked in the "display" on the right. In this way, you need to press the [Switch text and ultra Text Browsing] button to preview the HTML mail content.
OE
The latest OE 6 SP1 version provides the HTML mail display function for plain text, but we need to manually enable it: Click [tools] → [Options] on the main menu, switch to the "read" Page and select the "read all information in plain text" option. For versions earlier than OE 6 SP1, you can install a plug-in named "noHTML for Outlook Express. After the installation is complete, follow the prompts to restart. After entering OE, you will find a "noHtml" icon button in the toolbar. When it is pressed, it indicates that you will display HTML emails in plain text.
Viruses are dangerous, but if we strengthen our awareness of prevention and pay attention to self-protection in our daily application process, we can still minimize the damage caused by viruses.
