SomeProgramYou may need to manually open the port so that these programs can work normally when Windows Firewall is used on a local computer or gateway computer.
If you want to provide a service running on a computer with Windows Firewall Enabled to users on the internet, you may have to manually open the port.
Note: The actual port settings of each program are different.
To manually open the port, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Network neighbors.
Under the network task, click View network connection. (Alternatively, right-click the network neighbor on the desktop and click Properties .)
Right-click the connection used for Internet, and then click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings.
Note: If the setting button is unavailable, Windows Firewall is not enabled on the connection. You do not need to open any ports (because they are all enabled ).
Click Add to open the new port.
In the description box, type A note name. For example, type file sharing: port 445.
In the "computer name or IP address that provides this service on your network" box, type 127.0.0.1.
Note: You can specify the IP address of an internal computer. But generally, use 127.0.0.1.
In the "external port" and "internal port" boxes, type the port number. Generally, this number is the same.
Click TCP or UDP, and then click OK.
Repeat steps 1 to 9 for each port to be opened.
Enable the telnet service in services. MSC (service. That is. Enter services. MSC in the running state, and then start the telnet service.
