When you want to open the IIS Management window to set parameters for Web servers or other servers, it is found that the IIS Management window is very slow to open, but once you enter the Management window, all operations and settings are normal. Why?
In fact, most of these failures occur when network administrators accidentally stop the "Protected Storage" service or "Remote Procedure Call" service, because the above services will be accidentally stopped, therefore, the Internet Information Service Management Program will be affected to some extent when it is started.
As long as you restart these services, you can quickly open the IIS Management window again:
Click "start"/"run" command in sequence to open the system running dialog box, and enter the string command "Services. msc, click OK to open the Windows system service list interface;
Double-click the "Protected Storage" service option and check whether the service has been disabled in the current state on the service attribute setting page shown in 3.
If the service has been disabled, you can click the start button to start it. Then, click the drop-down button at the start type, select the "Automatic" option from the drop-down list and click "OK.
However, before starting the "Protected Storage" service, if the "Remote Procedure Call" service has been disabled, therefore, the "Protected Storage" service cannot be started successfully. Therefore, ensuring that the "Remote Procedure Call" service has been started is a prerequisite for you to quickly open the IIS Management window.
