How to remotely log on to ubuntu12.04 in Windows 7

Method 1: putty

Advantage: In the command line mode, the speed is fast and the efficiency is high.

Disadvantage: no graphical interface

Configuration process:

First install the openssh-server software in ubuntu: sudo apt-get install openssh-server

Method 2: putty + xming

Advantage: Graphical operation is supported.

Disadvantage: slow

3. Select Enable X11 forwarding under putty X11, and fill in X display location: 10

Method 3: vnc connection for graphical login

Advantage: Graphical operations, faster than the second method
