How to restore MySQL password in CentOS

The following code passes the centos test.

1. Stop the mysqld service;
/Etc/init. d/mysql stop

2. Run the following command to start MySQL without checking its permissions;
Cd/usr/local/mysql/bin
./Mysqld_safe -- skip-grant-tables &
Or
Mysqld -- skip-grant-tables &

3. Use the empty password to log on to MySQL as the root user;
./Mysql-uroot-p

4. Modify the password of the root user;
Update mysql. user set password = PASSWORD ('newpass') where User = 'root ';
Flush privileges;
Quit

Restart MySQL
/Etc/init. d/mysql restart
