Fault symptom:
When the resolution is less than 1024x768, the system prompts to open the Metro application: the screen resolution is too low to run this application.
Cause analysis:
Microsoft imposes limits on Metro applications at a minimum of 1024x768 pixels. Microsoft says that the minimum resolution 1024x768 is used to help developers create applications that can fit all screens, it is a benchmark that allows developers to ensure that navigation, control, and content are appropriate for the screen.
Solution:
1. WIN + R call up and run. Enter REGEDIT. EXE and press Enter. On the pop-up registry page, tap F3 and enter:
Display1_DownScalingSupported: Press enter;
2. Select the search result, double-click to change its value from 0 to 1, and click OK;
3. Restart the machine and you will find that the screen resolution can be adjusted to 1024x768/1152x864. We recommend that you set the resolution to 1024x768 (the image is not too flat, and the normal desktop looks OK ).
Note: It is risky to modify the Registry. Proceed with caution!
