3. Under windows update, select "enable or disable automatic update ";
4. In the important update drop-down menu, you can choose to enable or disable the update as needed.

1. Press WIN + X to bring up the system configuration menu and select "control panel ";
2. Select system and security ";
3. Under windows Update, select "enable or disable automatic update ";
4. Under important updates, there is a drop-down menu, you can choose to enable or disable automatic updates as needed.
4. Perform the following operations on Windows 10:
1. Press WIN + X to bring up the system configuration menu and select control panel;
2. Select "update and security ";
3. Select "Advanced options" on the right bar ";
4. In "select update installation method", you can select "automatic (recommended)" or "notification to reschedule ". However, there is no option to disable windows update. To disable windows update, see the following figure.
5. Right-click "this computer" and choose "manage ";
6. "service" under "Computer Management (local ";
7. Select the "windows update" option and double-click the left mouse button. In the displayed dialog box, select stop.
