How to Set readOnly values in JS

Source: Internet
Author: User

On a webpage, we sometimes need to control the "input status" of the text input box. Some key attributes cannot be modified. In this case, we need to set the readonly attribute of the text input box to False, we can use

<Input name = "txt_name" type = "text" readonly = "readonly" id = "txt_Status" name = "txt_name" style = "width: 150px;"/>

However, in Javascript, txt_name.readonly = "readonly" cannot be used to set this attribute. Because Javascript is case sensitive, when calling this attribute, we must use txt_name.readOnly = true to set it.

Of course, there is also an attribute in the webpage text box that can control its status, disabled. This attribute also limits the user to modify the content of the text box, but after this attribute is set to "disabled, C # background code won't be able to get the content of this control.
