programme I:
1, open "My Computer" → "tools → folder Options → view" command → Remove the "Advanced settings" option under "Simple File sharing" of the selected state
2. Right-click the U disk Select "Properties" → go to the security tab → Set the permissions for everyone under Group and user list to read only, read and run, List folder directories
3, click Add to add the account name that you are using (in this case, LCR) to the groups and users list, and set the permissions to Full control.
Programme II:
We run regedit on an XP SP2 computer, and we select a new item under Hkey_local_machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrol and the name of the item is storagedevicepolicies.
Set the Writeprotect value in storagedevicepolicies to 1 so that our U disk becomes read-only (if we want to get back to normal we can guess the method of setting the Writeprotect value to 0).
Tip: If the "Storagedevicepolicies" registry key is not found in the registry, you can right-click the control registry key and create a new one named "Storagedevicepolicies". You can then create the Writeprotect value by following the above method.
Now we can test it and send the U-disk file to the U disk.
Pop-up prompt box: U disk display is written to protect, so that our read-only u disk set successfully.
If the user is using a Vista or Win2008 operating system, it is more convenient to set up a U disk read-only mode, just disable the USB device in the policy group. Simple and practical procedures, we have to try it quickly.
