Jelly often to scan some drawings and photos, so the leader "approval" for the jelly equipped with a scanner, can make the jelly happy.

Happy for a few days, Jelly began to upset. Strawberries These guys have been accumulating photos have moved over, said to "Keep the wonderful", let Jelly play a "dedication" spirit, let them use scanners. This is good, jelly is hung on one side, a day not long computer, really depressed. Can the scanner also like the printer and the users in the network to share the use of it. After a toss, Jelly finally let colleagues in the office can share the use of this scanner.

Pre-preparation

Software is important to implement a shared scanner. So, Jelly began a long search ...

Many scanners do not provide shared functionality, but Jelly found a small software named Netscan (also known as e-Net sweep, download address point, which is directly downloaded here), with its help, the scanner's sharing becomes easy.

In the process of installing the program, when you go to the "Install Application Type" dialog box, you should select "Server" when installing on a computer that has a scanner, which is the jelly, and when you install on another computer in your workgroup (such as a strawberry computer), you should choose Client (clients) ". This allows you to enter the scanner after the installation is complete.

Host Settings

Running the Netscan server-side program on the host will open the server shared-side window. The Tasks tab of the window shows the scan tasks that are sent by all the clients, giving the user an idea.

Go to the Settings tab, and you can set up the server's share (Figure 1). The maximum number of tasks a Netscan server can receive at one time is "10", and if the client has more than this number of scan tasks, the print task needs to be sent again. Host users can also choose whether to automatically accept scan tasks. If the automatic Receive Task option is not checked, all network scan tasks will be executed through the authentication of the host user. Jelly would like this to "check", but because of fear of the strawberry and other people, had to "against their will" to tick the selected.

Figure 1

If the host has more than one scanning device installed, you need to click the "Select Scanner" button to select the scanner you want to share. In this way, the settings on the host are basically complete, the shared-side program to minimize the scanner can be shared to the users on the local area network.

The jelly prompts the client to submit a task that can only be rotated after the scanner has been initialized. Therefore, the server-side scanners must be in a normal working state.

Client settings

Next, the jelly will have to be set on each client, as well as teach you how to do it.

Run Netscan on the strawberry computer and pop up a dialog box (Figure 2). In order for the network scan to go smoothly, you have to do the relevant settings here.

Figure 2

1. Select Scan Server

Enter the computer name or IP address of the computer that shares the scanner, and then click the "Connect" button to communicate with the server (the Jelly Computer) to confirm that the settings are correct. When the connection is correct, a dialog box will pop up on the jelly computer, prompting you to accept the request from the client. Clicking the "Yes" button allows the client to use a shared scanner.

2. Set Scan parameters

Scan parameters are set up on the client, the host is mainly responsible for the macro control, therefore, the client should be based on their own scanned objects in the Drop-down menu to set up before each scan. If just plain text scan, then select "Ordinary print" can be. But the strawberry needs to scan the color photograph, therefore chooses "the photograph". Select a good type, click the "Advanced" button, you can go to the "Advanced Settings" dialog box, the scanning parameters for further settings, such as resolution, image type, remove mesh and so on.

Here, Jelly warns you to choose between scan range and scan interval, because they are related to the efficiency of network scanning.

In the Scan range option, if you choose Auto Select, the scanner with the host automatically selects the largest rectangular scan area in the form of the manuscript, and if you select "whole" then the scanning area defaults to A4 format. The difference between the two is that the scanner needs to preview and then process the data in the auto-select State, which takes a long time. If the scanned file is A4 size, it is best to use the entire width option.

Because it is in the local area network scanning, it is impossible to scan and run past set a second sweep, so it is necessary to set the time interval of the scan. In this way, when a scan task is completed, the scanner will automatically perform a second scan at the set time, as long as the second piece of paper is placed. In order to achieve the "shared" scanner, Jelly volunteered to help place the objects to be scanned.

The jelly hint interval time cannot set too short, otherwise can let you be in a hurry.

Finally, after you have determined the path of the scanned image, all of your parameters are set.

Network scan

Done, now let the jelly created by the "network scan" to play a role.

Jelly in the Netscan client click "Add Task Item", add all the scan tasks at once, and then place the scanned items in the scanner, click the "Submit Scan" button, the scanner on the host will receive the request from the client and automatically answer, scanning work began. The whole process does not affect the normal operation of the host, and the jelly of the computer configuration is very high (as a "master" special treatment), so there is no "feeling".

Now, Jelly can finally sit quietly in their seats to work, although often to help everyone to change the scanning items, but this does not affect the work. The jelly finally breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of the strawberry crowd.
