Sometimes we need to test a Windows PE mirror file in a virtual machine. Here's how to take the VMware workstation as an example, with the following steps:
1, run the virtual machine software VMware Workstation and create a new virtual machine (such as XP).
2. Return to the main window of the program, click the Edit Virtual machine settings button on the Windows XP tab, and click Edit Virtual machine settings.
3, open the Virtual Machine Settings dialog box. On the Hardware tab, in the Devices list, click to select the CD-ROM option, and then in the connection area on the right, select the use ISO Mirror radio box and click the Browse button.
4, in the open "Browse ISO Image" dialog box to find and select the previously produced ISO image file, click Open.
5, return to the Virtual Machine Settings dialog box, click OK.
6. Return to the main VMware Workstation program window and click "Start this virtual machine" on the Windows XP tab.
7. The virtual machine starts using the System maintenance CD ISO file and asks the user to confirm whether network support is enabled in the Open Confirm dialog box. Click the Yes button.
8, open the "PE Network configurator-network Profiles (Network Properties)" dialog box, users can choose according to the network environment of the computer to use DHCP dynamic IP address or use static IP address. Select the static IP address (static IP addresses) option and click the OK button.
9, the PE starts to enable the network adapter, and configures the network. In the Open PE network Configurator (PE Network Configurator) dialog box, set the IP address according to the actual situation, and click OK.
10, into the PE interface, click the Go button, users can be similar to the Windows System Start menu List of the various functions of the PE system maintenance.
