How to uninstall MySQL in Linux

Source: Internet
Author: User

First, check whether the installed version is named.

: Rpm-Qa | grep-I MySQL // The parameter "I" is not case sensitive.

Second, find some MySQL versions and uninstall them. For example

: Mysql-libs-5.0.45-6.fc7

Run: rpm-e mysql-libs-5.0.45-6.fc7

After the execution, if the prompt is: Error: Failed dependencies:
Libmysqlclient. so.15 is needed by (installed) amarok-1.4.8-1.fc7.i386
Libmysqlclient. so.15 (libmysqlclient_15) is needed by (installed) amarok-1.4.8-1.fc7.i386

Some of them are dependence relationships. Then, we can simply take them all at once.

Third, execute the complete uninstall command

: Rpm-e amarok-1.4.8-1.fc7.i386 mysql-libs-5.0.45-6.fc7

Fourth, no error message appears after execution. The operation is successful.
