How to Use Ghost Go
Ghost Go, also known as "Blue Comet", is a Ghost auxiliary software. With it, we can easily set various Ghost operations and parameters in Windows, and generate a batch processing file to avoid tedious DOS operations. We can download the software from many download websites. After downloading the software, double-click the executable file to install and start "Blue Comet ".

Step 1. After Ghost Go runs, click the "folder" button under "select the folder for storing Program Files" and select the folder where Ghost Go is located (such as G: Ghost ). Then, under "select the shortcut to be created", select the shortcut to create a program on the desktop, "Start Menu", or Quick Start bar.

Step 2 click the start button. After a moment, the software will pop up a window prompting you to "file created" and click OK. Click the Ghost Go icon on the desktop and select the operation dialog box to be executed. Note: the procedure for selecting different options varies. In this article, we use the most common "Create Image File" as an example.

Step 3 select the "Create Image File" button next to "Create Image File", and then click "OK" in the lower right corner (the white button with a check mark ), we "select the target to create an image file" as "hard disk partition", and then select 1st partitions for the first 1st hard disks (that is, the boot partition. If you only have one hard disk, select 1st hard disks ). Next, enter the path and file name of the image file to be saved in the bottom input box, for example, F: SystemC. gho. You can select the storage location and name of the image file as required. Of course, you cannot select the partition to be made into an image file, such as drive C.

Step 4 click the "OK" button in the lower right corner to enter the "set compression mode" dialog box. Generally, select "quick compression. Click "OK" in the lower-right corner to enter the "set password" dialog box. In this dialog box, you can add a password (English letters and numbers should be used) to the image file to prevent unauthorized user operations.

Step 5 click the "OK" button in the lower right corner. There are four options, we recommend that you select all the check boxes before the Options "automatic validation", "quiet mode", and "Diagnostic memory.

Step 6 click the "OK" button. Ghost Go will ask you about "operations after completion", which has two options: "Return dos OS" and "Restart computer, users can choose from.

Step 7 click "OK" to go to the "generate" dialog box. We can "create to floppy disk" (you can use this floppy disk to guide the system to clone Hard Disk Partitions) or "create to folder ". In this article, select "create to folder ". Click "OK" to go to the "Create to folder" dialog box. Generally, select the folder where Ghost is located, such as G: Ghost.

Tip: You can only click the "Browse" button to select the folder location on the hard disk partition. You should select an English folder with a short folder name.

Step 8 click the "OK" button again, and Ghost Go will create the automatic batch processing file Go1.bat and store it in the specified folder.

Tip: do not forget to store smartdrv.exe in this folder because Ghost goneeds to use files such as ghost.exe1_smartdrv.exe at runtime.

Step 9 When backing up hard disk partitions, start to pure DOS mode, enter the G: Ghost directory, run the go1.bat command, and press the "Y" key as prompted to automatically back up the disk!

After creating a hard disk partition image file, if you want to restore the hard disk partition, run Ghost Go and select "Recover image data" single region. Select the image file to be restored, and then select the partition to be restored. The subsequent operations and options are similar to those for backing up hard disk partitions.
