1. Enable the "email" function on the Start screen of Windows 8, as shown in the red box below.
2. If we use a third-party email, we need to bind a Microsoft account first. We don't have to add one.
3. After successfully logging on to Microsoft Mail, click "super menu"-"settings" in the upper right corner, as shown in the following figure;
4. In Settings, click "account", as shown in the figure;
5. Click "Add Account", as shown in the following figure;
6. Here we can click "other accounts" to manually add;
7. Click another account and the following interface will pop up. Here we can bind our third-party emails.
8. Click "show details" in the wizard, as shown in the following figure;
9. here, we need to set our own email address, login name and password, and the email server address used by IMAP (receiving) and SMTP (sending, if you need an SSL secure connection, you can also select it based on the actual situation. After entering it, click "connect ";
Note: Contact your email provider for details about the addresses and port numbers of IMAP and SMTP servers.
10. If the settings are correct, the connection will be successful. Then, click "settings-account" and click the third-party mailbox we just created to perform some settings;
11. After the settings are completed, you can use windows8 to help you process emails without logging on to the webpage. You only need to access the Internet.
