How to use the IIS schema Web server under XP system

The use of Windows XP components can meet the requirements of the site, and security performance is good.

Installing IIS

In the Windows XP Professional Edition, IIS is not installed by default, but as an optional component, now we want to set up a site, you can choose to install it, the way is simple, put the XP CD, and then run the CD, in the running interface to choose to add components, Alternatively, open the Control Panel and open the Add or remove files and select Add Windows Components. In the pop-up dialog box, select Internet Information Services (IIS). Then click OK to install it. Alternatively, in Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs and select Add or remove Windows components in the pop-up window to select Internet Information Services (IIS).

If your system is not a Windows XP SP2 version, then in the installation process, the system will often suggest that a file adsutil.vb_ not found, installation is difficult to go on. My practice is to find a WINXPSP2 upgrade package. When the system hint file is not found, it is searched in the upgrade package and the path is given to the system after it is found.

Set up a Web site

In Control Panel, open Administrative Tools--> Internet Information Services, as shown in the following illustration:

2, right click on the "Default Web Site"--new--Virtual directory--named "Le Hui curtilage"--Find the local directory--Next--complete

3, right click on the newly built site name (Le Hui House)--Properties--Switch to the "document"--add--Enter the startup file name index.asp
